The selection of construction materials in the manufacture of pressure equipment is one of the key factors influencing its performance and proper working conditions.

We choose the materials so that they are appropriate to the intended manufacturing operations and to suit the working fluid and the external environment.

The design process takes into account both normal operating conditions and transient conditions that may occur during manufacturing, research, transport and operation.

Titanium – a material that requires extensive knowledge and experience.
To use titanium in a variety of structures one must master the technologies of its welding. It is used in demanding projects where very high corrosion resistance is important together with high strength properties, which are the most characteristic features of this material.

The main industrial use of titanium is in heat transfer applications in industries chemical, petrochemical, power generation and marine engineering. The high corrosion resistance of titanium results from the ability to create on the surface oxide film by oxidation in air. In comparison with steel, titanium alloys have significantly superior corrosion resistance while maintaining strength of 60% of the specific weight of steel, making the structure lighter. Titanium is used for the production of both single elements of pressurized equipment, such as connectors, flanges, tube sheets, shell covers as well as the complete apparatus. This material is also applicable in the plating of equipment elements.

Duplex steel – this materials are characterized by high tensile strength and very high resistance to corrosion. Designations, such as super-duplex and hyper-duplex indicates higher content of alloying elements and also improved resistance to corrosion.

The relatively low compared to the cost of producing austenitic duplex steel, among others, the result of a reduced amount of scarce and expensive nickel, which is duplex advantage. The main use of duplex steels are the components of heat exchangers, including tube bundles. The designs of heat exchangers duplex steel is used as an anti-corrosion coating buildup on non-alloy steel to protect against the corrosive effects of aggressive factors. The main challenge in welding duplex steel is to balance relative volume of ferrite and austenite and avoid release of  carbides and intermetallic phases resulting in the decrease of mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.


Monel – alloy characterized by high strength, good cutting performance and resistance to stress corrosion, designed to work at low and high temperatures. Used for the fabrication of pressure equipment, fittings and connectors. Monel elements have been used for example in the manufacture of trays of the column for petrochemical installations.

Brass – a material resistant to abrasion, corrosion and high mechanical loads.

Brass belongs to common materials of construction used in the production of thin-walled tubes, particularly for radiators, enamelled products, parts made by different methods forming and cutting, the sliding elements. Brass is also used in articles valve. Elements of machines in engineering, automotive, electrical, marine, precision, chemical. Fragile brass is used as a mold.

In our company realizations we used aluminum finned brass tubes and pipes clean brass in the manufacture of turbine oil cooler.

Copper – the metal with a characteristic orange-golden color and a strong shine. The advantages of the material of construction include much greater than in the case of iron corrosion resistance, the ability of forging and rolling, and excellent electrical and thermal conductivity.

Elements of copper are used in industrial installations, apparatus for chemical and food industry: coolers, chemical reactors, distillation and rectification columns. In the construction of pressure equipment copper can be used as a material for the fins.
